I don’t have a lot of junk, comparatively speaking. And like most folks, I have some. Most of it resides in the basement. And its not really junk, as the items in question have use and generally are in good working order. They just may no longer be of use or value to me. I’ve cleared a lot of stuff over the years, many books have gone to good homes, and ancient out of date textbooks finally retired. I cleared out my clothes closet just before the pandemic started, and I haven’t done much restocking aside from socks and underwear, so if you see me regularly, you will come to know my regular outfits.
And then there’s the weather, which I find junky as well. Martha from ragtag daily prompt called it wacky, and that certainly applies. The past two days, we’ve had record highs for the date, 5 degrees or more higher than the previous record. I just saw on the eastern plains of Colorado that they hit 95 degrees. In April? Warm spells in April, sure, but 80s and 90s, that’s just bizarre. And now its windy–fire weather. Not so relaxing.
But not to worry, by tomorrow evening a cold front is due in, bringing rain and snow. Yes, you read correctly. Shorts today, shoveling snow tomorrow. Wacky, junky, whatever you call it, it is the predicted increasingly extreme weather. Yikes!
Written for the ragtag daily prompt and the Blogging from A to Z Challenge.

The weather has lost its mind. Wacky is an understatement. They had to do prescribed burns on our wildlife refuges and when the forecast changed, they had to do all three refuges in one day. Not easy, but they managed. The wind is blowing like a mofo right now, but tomorrow? Promised cool weather and calmer wind but I figure it’s going to decide on its own at the last minute.
