In the A to Z April writing challenge, today’s letter is F. F is for Flowers. As the rhyme goes, April showers bring May flowers. True enough, and here in Colorado, the showers may be either rain or snow. We had a little bit of rain yesterday, and the forecast suggests we may get snow next week. Springtime in the Rockies.
Despite our weather variations, and oh yes, we had record setting heat last weekend, I have noticed the beginnings of flowers around here, almost all from early blooming bulbs. Walking home from my office yesterday afternoon, I took these photos along the way. Enjoy!

Even in the desert, I’m noticing flowers blooming. This is exactly what I was going to post today. The flowers in our yard and along our walks.

Spent Friday at the Botanical Gardens in Albuquerque with my Mom. Lot and lots of beautiful blooming bulbs! Some I had never seen before. Being the sort of cataloguing type person that I am, I was disappointed that there weren’t signs telling me the name of the flowers that I didn’t recognize. Mom said “just enjoy them”. And so I did. Loved your pictures!

Sounds like a lovely day at the gardens. Like you, I often get pulled between “enjoy” and who are you, what’s your name
