Happy Birthday, Ziggy!

Today is Ziggy the cat’s 11th birthday. He joined our family at the end of September, so he’s been with us just over 6 months.

He’s a family member now, the most athletic cat I’ve ever had, quick and with fabulous leaps. He’s a pretty quirky fellow, even for a cat. Head bumps, marking our chins and necks daily, wanting intense physical contact at times. And then, in typical cat fashion, with or without a nip, he jumps down and moves to whatever’s next.

He’s a fine addition to the household, fun, a needed distraction at times, and good company for my partner, BA, who, virus or no, is at home much more than I.

Once again, welcome and Happy Birthday, Ziggy! No cake, but your favorite brand of Fussie Cat food and all the crunchies and naps you want.  Cheers to you, little guy!

June 2017: I started writing Curioussteph.com with this: By day, I'm a retired family physician turned body-oriented psychotherapist. I garden, travel, am owned by 2 elderly cats, figure skate and am training for my first triathlon. April 2020: Three years later, the two elderly cats have crossed the rainbow bridge, and we now have an 11 year old adoptee, Ziggy. I'm done with triathlon and skating for the time being, and I am still physically active, running, biking and walking. It's now the time of the coronavirus, which is affecting us all.
