When I hear the word shards, glass comes to mind. I’ve done some glasswork over the years, mostly making glass beads in the torch. It’s fun, playing with fire and color. I’ve also done a little glass blowing, which I discovered to be quite consuming of both time and money in terms of developing technique and the complex furnaces and materials required. In addition, I’ve done some fusing, melting glass pieces together in the kiln. Also fun, but I enjoy the direct fire interaction of beadmaking the most
In honor of today’s Ragtag prompt of shard, I offer this photo of a pendant I made using some small bits of dichroic glass.
That’s beautiful!

Thanks! I hope to get back to playing with glass one of these days. My plate has been a bit full, to say nothing of the woodshop (for the van build) that has taken over my glass area in the basement.
