Arctic cold blast brings
Record low temperatures
The leaves freeze then fall.
For today’s Ragtag Daily Prompt of Blast. Snow this time of year is not unusual, but the very low temperatures are. Its a chilly 14F (-10C) this morning. The bright sunshine is welcome, as is the predicted thaw. I’m always surprised at how a freeze will facilitate the sudden drop of leaves. Yesterday morning they were on the trees, and by afternoon, half had fallen.
Your photos are lovely, but I would not welcome waking up to that sight. I’ve gotten over being thrilled with snow.

I don’t particularly mind the snow, although it can make driving annoying, and I’m less fond of shoveling than I once was.

Beatiful photos. Our arctic blast didn’t bring snow, but it did bring cold and frost and now everything has stopped fighting and has surrendered. Bear thinks all this is a promise of good things to come, and she’s right.
