  1. I had an interesting conversation with one of our local trash collectors recently. They collect recyclables, but I know they have far more stuff than they can sell or even give away. All our dumps are full or close to it. New England was the first place where we had an industrial revolution and our lack of space for trash reflects it. We can recycle all we want, but it’s not actually becoming anything but more trash. We don’t have a solution, so short of figuring out how to make less trash, we are going to be drowned in our own garbage.

    1. It’s becoming more and more of a problem. The Chinese used to take a lot of our recycling and that’s been drastically reduced in recent years. Reduce and reuse much better than recycle because of that.
