A good reminder, for me, at least, to remember that despite so many ominous signs and clouds in the world, that there is great beauty and possibility as well. Lets go for that!

Really lovely. We have an old folk saying “Red sky at night, Shepherd’s delight, Red sky in morning, Shepherd’s warning”. 😉

Just as I started to read this, I looked outside and it was as dark as night. The grey clouds turned black, thunder rolled, and the rain — finally — began.

My painting teacher in college told us we could paint the sky as crazy and dramatic as we wanted and, at some time, in some place, there would be a real sky to match it. Your photos seem to prove his point!

Funny, as you wrote this, it reminded me that sometimes I groan at paintings that don’t seem real or have overly dramatic skies. And what do I take photos of?
