Its time to resurrect
A lot of things.
Particularly how we treat each other.
Lets resurrect
Compassion, respect, empathy.
Recall that more is not necessarily better
That sharing won’t lead to scarcity.
Its time to remember
That we are more alike than different,
Even as the differences may be obvious and great.
Lets recall and live by that last line of the “pledge”
With liberty and justice for all.
