Hello again, its me, Lucy One White.
If I am talking to you, it must be Friday, cause Mama Steph says that’s the day that my writing is done. This leads nicely into today’s topic which is Cats Don’t.
I have to say Cats Don’t so often to my moms. You think they would remember better after all these years. So first off, Cats Don’t care about the day names. Every day is today, and that’s all you need to know. Mama Steph says that’s not true because my medication is different on different days, I don’t always take night pill. But I Lucy still think that’s silly.
Here’s my listany for your education.
CATS DON’T:
- ride in cars
- do chores
- clean anything but themselves
- make beds
- move out from underfoot
- do cooking
- go to work
- do their homework
- have friends
- talk to dogs
- follow directions
- take baths in water
- do sharing
- wait their turn
Unless of course we feel like it.
There are more things on this list, of course, but Cats Don’t tell everything, because we are mysterious, which is part of our authentic nature, and it would be just very wrong to release such information. It is a matter of natural security.
Excellent. A feline after my own purr – Tabby T. Cat

I wish our Lucy liked riding in the car….then she could travel with us! Have a lovely day!

Cats do what they want and not what they don’t want. If you try to make them do something they don’t like you’ll hear about it.
Thanks for linking up to Feline Friday. We have fun getting ready for the weekend. ♥

Our Lucy finds the car truly horrifying–she can literally lose her s**t driving the one mile to the vet. Its the very rare cat that travels.

Hi Lucy, I’m glad you wrote “unless we feel like it.” I had a Siamese cat who LOVED riding in the car with me, even if I just went to the store she’d jump up into the car and curl up in the back window. She was odd in many ways. Very good list.

Thanks Martha, I’m glad you liked it. I’ve heard of cats who do car rides. I Lucy am embarrassed for them.

Ha ha Lucy. Someday maybe I’ll write about Naggy T. Cat

was your cat’s name really Naggy? Mama steph calls me Naggy Pie sometimes and it makes me mad. (Mama Steph is quite patient, but sometimes the howling gets a bit much (Jules and Lucy have some siamese in them–could see it in Jules’ head shape, and hear it in both their chattiness and yowls)

Yes, her name was Naggy. She was a Siamese I adopted from an animal shelter when I was a grad student. She “talked” all the time in a voice that sounded like nagging. She was an amazing cat and I loved her very much. 🙂 ❤

Dear Lucy One White, My Hanni Banani loved to say hi to dogs. She’d run out to the sidewalk to say hello to the dogs being walked. It was a little unnerving for the dogs; perhaps that was why she did it. She may have also thought she was a dog…

Love this! Especially the final paragraph- cats are so innately mysterious

I love Lucy! She is hilarious and could have her own sitcom — although I do see her as more of a Gracie type than a Lucy type so she’ll need a George to play straight man. and just like Gracie she hits the truth right on the nose.
