With this for the daily prompt, I feel compelled to once again post my favorite sign:
As a traffic direction, I find this wanting.
As a reminder that our options are often less limited than we might believe, I find it useful. A college classmate of mine was the oldest child in a large family. His youngest brother was accomplished at crawling forward. However, he didn’t have the concepts of reverse or turning, with the result that he would often crawl into a corner and then cry in frustration. Michael would go over, pick him up, turn him around and he was once again a happy baby, exploring his world.
It is easy to get stuck in a metaphorical corner, frustrated, scared, thinking there is only one solution and its not working. If we remember to turn around, we might discover a whole new world of options and approaches. Try a new perspective, if you don’t like it, you can always go back to your corner!

The whole of humanity is essentially going in one direction only. If they would only turn around! 🙂
